Metabolism Matters. Your metabolism combined with your daily physical activity determines how many calories you burn each day. Many factors influence your metabolism, making it unique to you: weight, age, body composition, hormone levels and gender. Metabolic testing may be right for you if you are trying to lose, maintain or gain weight; are interested in improving overall health and fitness; have been diagnosed with diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnea, thyroid problems or other weight-related issues. With a simple 10-15 minute breath test, you can quickly learn your metabolic rate. Testing is done by Kelly conveniently at the Saturn Club. Testing can be done alone or in combination with a nutrition counseling session.
Kelly Cardamone, M.S., R.D., C.S.C.S.
Kelly is a registered dietician, wellness coach and exercise physiologist. Her experience includes being a collegiate lecturer, clinical dietician, community health program developer, personal trainer, pilates and group fitness instructor and workshop presenter for the American College of Sports Medicine. She is a trainer of trainers as she has helped over 2,500 fitness professionals prepare to take national certification exams. Her educational background is in Exercise Science, Nutrition and Adult Education/Health and Wellness.
